FireAngel joins big name brands like Black & Decker, Unibond and Bayer Garden as a gold winner at the 2008 DIY industry awards. FireAngel’s Wi-Safe, wireless home safety system incredibly polled the highest points score at the event.

The brief given to the judges was simple: look for genuinely innovative products that are well made and well presented, and which deliver a real user benefit. And most importantly of all, look for prices that are right for the market. Wi-Safe ticked all the boxes.

It sounds incredible but a standard smoke alarm may not wake 94% of children aged 6-15 in a house fire, because the sound fails to wake them. The elderly, infirm or simply heavy sleepers are also more at risk and may not wake up in the event of a fire.

The key to Wi-Safe is the warning handset. The portable handset can be placed anywhere in your home but typically by your bed. If a Wi-Safe smoke alarms or Wi-safe CO alarms elsewhere in your home the handset will automatically alarm and flash by your bedside. Now that you are awake you need to get out.
