FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) More than 100,000 Comcast cable customers were without service for several hours Thursday night.
A Comcast employee told NewsChannel 15 that a fire alarm's to blame for knocking out cable.
The worker says sometime after 7:30, the fire alarm went off -- causing a fire suppression system to kick in. As part of the system, some type of Gas Detector was emitted that forced workers to evacuate the building.
For some reason that's not clear right now - that caused the cable to go off.
The Fort Wayne Fire Department was called in to help clear the air with a specialized fan.
